Look at the big picture when revising your paper
Now that we have looked at how you can address the comments you received, we’ll focus on the other things you need to do. A revision of your manuscript should not be restricted to reviewer comments alone. It also means that you need to double check your paper to look at all the important parts to make sure everything is in order and there are no mistakes. Why is this essential?
If you look at reviewer comments in a systematic way, you will realize that there are several things you could do to elevate the quality of your paper. For example, you could improve the presentation of visual elements such as tables and figures, polish the language by using more appropriate words, ensure that your focus shows the impact and significance of your findings (conversely, this stage can also help you identify any exaggerated findings you may have reported), and so on.
So it is important for you to view the revise-and-resubmit stage as a great opportunity to make a good impression on your audience (the journal editor, reviewers, other researchers in the field, etc.).
Let us look at what other aspects you need to revisit while revising your manuscript.
